Hong Kong MTR station is a great place to meet someone and trade something.
I had a PS3 machine which I didn't need at all so I decided to sell it and get some cash. I tried to sell in some local Chinese forum but I finally posted in Yahoo Hong Kong auction and got a few calls and chose the highest bidder.
The bidder who wanted to buy this Playstation 3 asked me to come to 'Sham Shui Po' station and I was wondering how to go.
'Where is it?' As I rarely go to Kowloon side - across the harbour from Hong Kong Island - I had no clue where the station and of course I had no sense of distance from North Point - where I live.
So I googled this.
Hong Kong MTR Route map
Eeek! I don't want to waste time... I called the buyer and asked him to meet in Tsim Sha Tsui station or Admiralty... but he said NO and well... if I insist I felt this guy may give up this deal.
I was grumbling like 'Eewww... crossing the harbour would cost me a few bucks more..."
However, fortunately, I was wrong.
We met just in front of the customer service center and I didn't need to leave outside the fare collecting machine.
Still, if I had checked the Hong Kong MTR map, I could have suggested a better station for me before the bidder realize I was desperate to sell it.
